Trackside field interviews during a roller derby race, capturing the atmosphere and riders' perspectives on their opponents.
No studio, no chair facing the camera - these interviews were shot trackside, right in the middle of an ASL roller derby race. The format is deliberately light: a mobile camera, an interviewer who makes contact, short and direct exchanges with riders between heats. The questions are simple and direct - opponents you fear, race sensations, reading other teams - but they bring out the essential: personalities, sporting rivalries, and the raw energy of an outdoor competition. This street-interview style, tailored for social media rhythm, allows the league to showcase its riders, humanize the circuit, and bring the race atmosphere to those who weren't on site.
